Miss Honeysuckle was bored. It was rainy and muggy and not too fun. Her wild friends had all but disappeared, and for her, were remaining way to safe at the moment.

Katrina liked adventure. She sought it out like sticky honey, glistening at the end of her fingertips. She needed to go somewhere exuberant, with light, where the nights were alive and the mornings blissfully quite. A place where exotic men would buy her crater after crater of french champagne and feed her dark chocolate truffles. And then let her sleep off her hangover on their 300 count Egyptian cotton sheets.
So with that she packed her most sparkly dresses and shortest shorts. She plonked her mouse ears over her bed hair and wished her cacti goodbye.

She really was quite a sight to behold tottering down the road in her heels and dragging a dirty and well-travelled army bag behind her…

I am finally working on my January Restyle project. Talk about leaving it to the last minute!!
Here is a sneak peak at what I am restyling…

In an attempt to get through my thousands (literally!) of books that I can not stop buying, I am starting my very own little book club <3
First up this month will be ‘The Book Thief’ by Markus Zusak.

Book description from Kalahari.net:
HERE IS A SMALL FACT - YOU ARE GOING TO DIE. 1939. Nazi Germany. The country is holding its breath. Death has never been busier. Liesel, a nine-year-old girl, is living with a foster family on Himmel Street. Her parents have been taken away to a concentration camp. Liesel steals books. This is her story and the story of the inhabitants of her street when the bombs begin to fall. SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION - THIS NOVEL IS NARRATED BY DEATH. It’s a small story, about: a girl, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. ANOTHER THING YOU SHOULD KNOW - DEATH WILL VISIT THE BOOK THIEF THREE TIMES

Ahhhh now all I need is my bed and tea please!

Seemingly ironic, but I had an epiphany while browsing through a new blog that I found, ( http://unicornsforsocialism.com TOTALLY rocks by the way!). Reading one of Alexandras post’s about wasting time browsing amiously through random sites resonated deepley with me. Although the internet is a huge pool of knowledge and an incredible resource. Many of us seem to go into drone mode during our working day and spend too much time looking at page after page of nonsense!
It really struck a chord about how much of my precious life time I am wasting being absorbed in social media and entertainment sites. Now, I have beaten my coffee addiction, she says nonchalantly while sipping on her Earl Grey, but cutting myself off from the internet? It’s going to be a tough one honey! It’s all too easy and acsessable you see. But non-the-less, I am charging forward with this way of thinking. I do get a lot of my inspiration and information from the web. So instead of going all Victorian on you, I am going to have a 20 minute ‘free’ internet time per day. The rest? Internet black out kids!
Now stop reading and have a media free hour why don’t cha?!
Go walk in the grass and feel the tingle of the sun on your face. And if you are in Pmb, the rain.
Go dance in it baby!
<3

It is a beautiful sunny Friday here in Pmb and I am finally feeling better. So what better way to celebrate than by wearing flowers and feathers <3
Happy Weekend everyone
xx

Wow!
It’s been ages. And as predicted when I first started this blog, there have been huge changes. I have changed jobs, and fallen in love. Something I never thought would happen. There is a man, a man more amazing than can be described.

Buuutttt more about that later <3
As we come to the New Year, I am beyond excited and nervous about my grand new adventures. As stolen from the sensational Gala Darling http://galadarling.com/ , it is:
TWO THOUSAND AND HEAVEN
I don’t believe in making New Years resolutions. To me they reek of failure and give you a feeling that something is lacking. Completely the wrong way to go about a brand spanking new year! But as the end of 2010 crept nearer, I did feel the need to set myself a few GOALS. Nothing huge. But things that I personally and actively want to work towards in my heaven year.
Two thousand and Heaven goals:
To my most beautiful year yet!
